iCircuit 3D offers an extensive virtual workbench for designing and testing electronics projects. It combines the powerful electronics simulation engine of the original iCircuit with the latest rendering and 3D physics technology of iOS.
With iCircuit 3D, you are not limited by the availability of physical parts. You can choose from a wide-ranging library of over 150 physically and electronically simulated parts, as well as over 1,000 reference boards. This enables you to build and test circuits, simulate physical designs, and test Arduino code in a sandbox environment. Each part is accurately rendered to resemble its real-life counterpart, enhancing your appreciation for the aesthetics of electronics.
When powered, LEDs light up realistically, DC motors spin, and speakers emit sound. You can visually follow the flow of current through your simulated wires and view pinout and color code data on the circuit components themselves. Tapping a part gives you access to simulated values like voltage and current, as well as the ability to modify part parameters. In case of wiring issues or over-stressed elements, magic smoke billows from the point of failure, making it effortless to identify, diagnose, and rectify errors. Additionally, you can import photographs and reference images to keep them readily accessible. Furthermore, you have the option to attach your electronics to custom 3D models or use Blocks to construct enclosures or panels.

- Import images for reference or documentation and display them as physical photographs
All of these features are available within a 3D work environment that accurately replicates an electronics workbench. When you add parts, they respond to gravity and land on the table. You can then freely move and connect them by drawing wires between their ports. Once connected, wires remain linked regardless of the part's position. You have the flexibility to attach them to other parts to create panels and structures or simply leave them on the bench in a more casual arrangement.
